Cash Out Adsense Payment Through Western Union

After receiving the payment details, I proceed to the bank today. I choose Public Bank, the largest bank in Malaysia and one of the bank that support Western Union. For every bank that support Western Union, there will be a signboard like the following.

I politely asked for the Western Union form from the bank officer, and filled in the form like the following.



Then, I passed the form to the counter and that's it. I got the payment in hard cool cash! The whole process took only less than 10 minutes, fast service is one of the reason I always pick Public Bank rather than other banks.

Adsense Payment Issued

Finally, two days after the "Payment in Progress" line added, the line has been changed to "Payment Issued".



I choose Western Union payment method, with a simple click on the details link, I can view the payment details like the following. I notice that even though today is 26th February, the date in the payment details is 24th February as the payment date.



I will try to cash out tomorrow, hopefully the process will be easy :)

Adsense Payment in Progress

I have been toying with blog writing since 6 months ago out of personnel interest in programming, and would never thought that my free time interest can indeed generate some income by simply placing Google Adsense advertisements.

For the first three months, my earning was a mere $7.29, but it went up slowly in the last three months, and I broke the $100.00 barrier in mid of January 2009.

Since then, I have been waiting to see whether I can really get the money earned. After waiting for around one month, I finally see something interesting appear in the "Payment History" page. A "Payment in Progress" line has been added to the Earning and Payment Summary.



Hopefully I can really cash out the money in these few days. I will definitely share my experience after that.
